Lisa Sonne has enjoyed muses in North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Africa. Her travels have taken her up (weightless with astronauts in a training plane over Russia) and down (the first woman to “fly underwater” in an aviator submersible.) She likes traveling “to” (restaurants, spas, plays and museums) and “in” (soul-searching retreats; caves with sharks, sea turtles or bats). In addition she enjoys traveling with kids—other people’s kids.
Lisa’s writing credits include magazines (American Way, Time for Kids, Stanford, History) and television (National Geographic, Discovery, Animal Planet, PBS), as well as an Academy Award-winning documentary, Broken Rainbow. She loves the Internet and publishes www.WorldTouristBureau.com and co-founded www.CharitableLiteracy.org for kids to have the joy of giving. She is a member of the Explorers Club and North American Travel Journalists Association.
Surf’s up at O.C. beaches and seaside resorts at Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach and Dana Point.
Yosemite National Park is one of the few places on the planet where you can see a moonbow.
