Rio das Pedras is located about 75 miles south of Rio de Janeiro. The Rio das Pedras Ecological Reserve is the second largest nature reserve in Brazil and has a wealth of diverse rainforest flora and fauna. The area is also home to Club Med Rio das Pedras, a resort on a picturesque beach at the edge of the reserve.
