Stinson Beach is located in northern California, within a 40-minute drive of San Francisco. The town’s first hotel and shops were built by San Francisco refugees after the 1906 earthquake.
The long beach is a favorite of swimmers, surfers, kayakers, beachcombers and hikers. Nearby trails run throughout the Marin Headlands and Mt. Tamalpais. The quiet beach town is the ending point of the second-oldest footrace in the United States—the Dipsea Race.
