Huntington Beach State Park has dozens of biking and hiking trails, allows beach camping and boasts some of the finest bird-watching opportunities on the East Coast, with more than 300 species. The adjacent Brookgreen Gardens is a 9,200 sq. acre “garden museum” that comprises swamps, salt marshes, live oak trees, perennials, roses and more, and also features an extensive collection of American figurative sculptures.
