Florence's historical bookshop was for a while an editorial house for scholastic texts. It is now a fundamental research location for university students and scientific bodies. Thanks to computerization, in the last few years it has been possible to receive requested books quickly (from abroad if necessary) —even those which are particularly rare. All the sections are well represented. There is a recent interesting multimedia and computer department which is entered from the new entrance on Via Santa Reparata.
