If you need a break from Branson's man-made neon delights, keep your eyes fixed to the trees above for the annual winter migration of bald eagles. These majestic birds flock to the area from November through March, taking advantage of southwest Missouri's ice-free lakes and rivers. Blue Shoals Lake near Forsyth, is one of the better viewing spots. Families should dress warmly because the winds kick up on the open lake waters. Be sure to bring binoculars and a camera.
